Established in 1883, Raith Rovers are a professional football club based in Kirkcaldy, Fife. In the 138 years since, the Rovers have established themselves as a force in Fife football, playing out of the iconic Stark’s Park.

Many memorable moments have amassed for the club through the years, such as a Division One third place finish in 1922 and a British record for goals scored in a single season, when a Raith side smashed in 142 goals during the 1937/38 season, a feat that stands to this day. The clubs first major honour arrived in 1994 when Jimmy Nicholl’s side won a momentous League Cup against Celtic, which led to a famous European clash with the mighty Bayern Munich. A 2014 Challenge Cup win follows up on the club’s honour list, when the club lifted the trophy after an epic against Rangers at Easter Road.

As of 2021, Raith Rovers ply their trade in the second tier of Scottish football, following on from a three-year stint in League One. John McGlynn’s youthful side won the League One title in 2020, after the campaign was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nowadays, the club are steadily playing in the Championship, however supporters will always dream of a return to the promise land of the Premiership in the years to come!

Stark’s Park Properties

Stark’s Park Properties Ltd are the company that own the stadium of Raith Rovers. Established in 2005, following on from the ‘Reclaim the Rovers’ campaign, Stark’s Park Properties initially ran alongside ‘The New Raith Rovers’, as two separate entities in the refreshed make-up of the football club. However, in 2017, Stark’s Park Properties owner Jon Sim completed a takeover of Raith Rovers, that subsequently resulted in a merger of the two companies, that will see them work in tandem for the foreseeable future. Mr. Sim completed the takeover with the overall objective of transforming Stark’s Park into a community hub, whilst also enabling Raith Rovers to run as a self-sustaining club at the highest level. Significant investment has since followed both on and off the field of play, resulting in a number of exciting enhancements and opportunities around ‘San Starko’ in recent years.
